this is how i saw it when michelle obama first entered the arena. she took a look to see what it would look like from the stage. and two weeks ago, who would have thought that weather would threaten to completely disrupt these carefully laid plans. and of course it did. it canceled one night of the republican convention and forced the democratic convention inside. this is what topical isaac looked like from my hotel room. so as bill clinton said in 1988, in closing, if you need more proof that conventions still matter, they're still fun and are still fascinating, if you need more proof that you really can't touch this, i offer you this, mc hammer. see, conventions do matter. if you want to see more of these pictures, come visit our blog, cnn.com/earlystart. we have more pictures there. worth looking at. all right. moving back now, one of the most inspirational stories from this year's u.s. open, it isn't from a tennis player. it's from military vet who has overcome the oddsputee and is now a ball assist taptan to. an amazing story. go to cnn.com/tv.
